Ms. Jamila Musa leads a class

Graphic Web Design is a fun class that allows students to express their creativity on the screen. Learning different designs help further expand their skills with programing a website, such as logo design, typography, digital images, layout design, color theory, and web design ethics.

People often think that they can’t create art on a computer. But that’s where they are wrong: art doesn’t always have to be on a piece of paper or a canvas. Right now, students are using different ways to manipulate digital art in different mediums. Some are using mediums like 2D and 3D digital painting to help create their websites and designs. This is so they can create an allusion to exemplify what they are creating.

In Graphic Web Design 2, they are doing this while incorporating the principles of design into their work, which they learned from the previous year. The principles of design are balance, rhythm, pattern, emphasis, contrast, unity, and movement. Students are using what they know from this to add to their design and the composition as a whole. Lastly, students are introduced to competitions where they can submit their designs or websites that they are working on right now and possibly get acknowledged for them and win awards.
