What is Active Minds?
Cooper has a chapter of Active Minds, the nation’s premier nonprofit organization supporting mental health awareness and education for young adults. Active Minds is opening up the conversation about mental health and creating lasting change in the way mental health is talked about, cared for, and valued in the United States. Our student-led chapter works to increase mental health awareness at Cooper, promote positive mental health, and encourage students to reach out for help when needed. The student leaders of our chapter (Patty Chow, Maci Flanagan, Elena Khan, Pavitra Kotecha, Rushika Prasad, Allie Ronchetto, Zoe Tait and Beto Valenzuela) recently traveled to Washington D.C. to attend the Active Minds National Conference.
