Cooper Celebrates Dig Pink
Dig Pink is one of the John Cooper School’s greatest achievements. Cooper is the number one school in the nation for fundraising money for breast cancer awareness, and Dig Pink week is one of the most exiting bonding experiences for the school. It’s a week full of spirit activities, fundraising, and fun, all while working toward a good cause- finding a cure for cancer. The week is wrapped up by the Dig Pink volleyball game, where students from all grades as well as parents, faculty, and alumni, come to support the players and the cause. One of the newer additions to this week was the Quarters for Cancer fundraiser, a fundraiser where each grade competed in order to raise the most money for Breast Cancer using quarters. After taking a poll of 80 Upper School Students, the majority of students said they most enjoyed the themed dress down days, and the game itself, but most importantly, being able to help fundraise and find a cure.
